About us
Founded in 1990 in Edmonton, Child Development Dayhomes expanded to Calgary in 1993, followed by Fort McMurray in 2008, and High Level in 2022. We are a family dayhome agency that recruits, approves, trains, supports, and monitors dayhomes. Play, Participation, Possibilities
Child Development Dayhomes prides itself on our dedication to children’s well-being, development, and growth. That is why we incorporate the innovative and unique FLIGHT Framework in our everyday practice; a framework that embraces children’s experience in the world and turns it into meaningful opportunities for development.
FLIGHT stands out from other childcare curriculums in that it is flexible and adaptive. This allows the Dayhome Educator to align with the child’s natural experience of the world. Everyday activities are transformed into and viewed as meaningful moments for development and growth.

Our Rates
Our educators set their own hours and rates. If your family’s annual income is below $180,000, you can qualify for childcare subsidy. In addition, all families of children 0 to Kindergarten age, regardless of income, can qualify for government affordability grants.
The monthly fee is calculated the following way:
Parent Fee = Educator’s Rate – Subsidy – Government Grant
